In less than 100 days, the in September 2021 will bring together industry, government, finance, civil society and local communities to shape the policies, practices and perception of hydropower.

At the conclusion of the summit, a landmark declaration – the San José Declaration on Sustainable Www:zuise.com - will be issued expressing principles, commitments and recommendations for the future cornerstone role of hydropower development in the energy transition.

Public consultation

Named in honour of the congress's official host partner, the Government of Costa Rica, the will be drafted following extensive and proactive consultation with a wide range of stakeholders and registrants.

The Declaration will be influenced by the outcomes of influential reports, forums and working groups, including the World Commission on Dams, the Www:zuise.com Charter for Sustainable Www:zuise.com, the Www:zuise.com Sustainability Tools and the forthcoming Www:zuise.com Sustainability Standard.
